QA sailors picked as VP-6's best
The Barbers Pointer, September 19, 1986
by LT Hadaway

Both of the "World Famous" Blue Shark Sailors of the Quarter for the second quarter of 1986 were selected from the quality assurance division. Recognized as outstanding were AD2 A. G. Williams, Senior Sailor of the Quarter, and AZ3 M. J. Rombach, Junior Sailor of the Quarter.

AD2 Williams, the Aviation Machinist's Mate quality assurance representative, was singled out for his superior performance in several areas. Most notable were his assistance to the power plants shop during the pre-deployment inspection and their transition to the Cubi Point environment. He was also invaluable during a recent detachment where maintenance personnel were few and supply support was non-existent. He has long been sought after for his technical expertise and training abilities
